What is a Reel?
A reel is an edited compilation of highlights designed for social media rather than a complete feature-length uncut film of your lesson or event.
Reels are edited to fit within 1min. 30 sec. as this is the maximum time allowed under copyright for music to be added on Instagram.
There are other factors which may influence the length of a reel too, such as whether it is intended for personal enjoyment or created to 'hit the algorithms' with the aim of reaching a broader audience. We can talk this through when you make your booking.
All reels are delivered via a link without music (because of copyright), we often make music recommendations of what fits the action on the reel, but of course, you are free to select your own.
If required, we provide support with posting reels to social media (including adding music) and can guide you in how to optimise the quality of your reel by checking online settings prior to posting.
IMPORTANT - Once we have sent you your link, please do not re-edit it as double exporting will affect the quality. Instead, if there is anything you would like us to re-edit, please just say, as it is not a problem and it is important that you are totally happy with the work.
Filming Options:
Project work
Alongside filming event reels, Every Stride Studio is also available for bookings for other either short / longer-form content creation, project work for promotional content and freelance videography services for larger Event photographers. For this, you can book by the hour, half day or full day. Please contact us for further information.
Arena Only Reel
Prices from £45*
An Arena Only reel will show highlights from just one round of competition whether it is a showjumping round, dressage test or a single training session / lesson. This type of reel is perfect for riders who want to look back on the highlights of a particular class (or training session) rather than showing more elements of competition or training on any one day.

Bespoke Reels

A bespoke reel will capture a broad range of content from a competition / training event. Typically, we will meet you in the lorry park, or temporary stabling (if a stay-away event) and will capture moments from your unloading / tacking up or other preparation. We continue to capture footage from your event which may be multi-discipline (in the case of Horse trials) or more than one training session. We try to capture snippets which show not only you and your horse, but also your support team. We look to film special moments which reflect the mood of the day / event.
